Mission Brief

At Axturis Technologies in Salzburg, you are the guardian of our cloud-native platform. Our products rely on a secure, resilient and well‑engineered infrastructure – and you ensure that every layer, from Kubernetes to identity management, meets the highest standards. We are looking for a hands-on Cloud & Infrastructure Security Engineer who combines deep technical security expertise with a builder’s mindset. You understand cloud architecture, you know how to harden it and you verify that it stays that way.

You move confidently across Kubernetes, container security, identity and access management, API protection and operational monitoring. You are both an engineer and an auditor: you design secure foundations and you validate that our systems and processes follow them. Your Role

Secure the Cloud Platform

• Harden our Kubernetes- and Docker-based environments

• Define and enforce security baselines for clusters, workloads and network boundaries

• Ensure secure deployment practices, rolling updates, and container integrity

Identity & Access Security

• Manage and optimize OIDC and OAuth2-based authentication and authorization

• Maintain strict access controls, token policies and role-based permissions

• Support integration with enterprise identity providers

Protect the API Layer

• Work with our API gateway to enforce token validation, rate limiting, and secure routing

• Ensure all services communicate exclusively via secure, encrypted channels

• Contribute to a robust, versioned API security model

Operational Security & Monitoring

• Maintain centralized logging, audit trails and real-time observability

• Investigate anomalies, security alerts and suspicious activity

• Collaborate with engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen defenses

Network & Platform Hardening

• Enforce least-privilege access across cloud-native network environments

• Maintain firewall rules, service isolation and secure service-to-service communication

• Support backup, restore and disaster recovery strategies with a security-first mindset

Security Automation

• Automate security checks, compliance validations and configuration audits

• Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines

• Build repeatable, scalable processes that keep our platform safe by default

What You Bring

• Experience in cloud or infrastructure security, ideally in containerized environments

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker and cloud-native security concepts

• Familiarity with OIDC, OAuth2, API gateways and identity management

• Knowledge of network segmentation, firewalling and secure service communication

• Experience with centralized logging, monitoring and incident investigation

• A mindset for automation, reliability and continuous improvement
